Winter Bright Complexion Wardrobe Challenge

Now that I know, I am a bright winter complexion, I’ve been able to coordinate my wardrobe seasonally and make outfits from the unique pieces in my closet.

Dressing for the season based on my complexion has made dressing with confidence and joy more accessible. Outfits by season, winter being the most shortly lived, spring and fall are my favourite to dress for while summer overlaps fits from spring and fall.

This complexion wardrobe challenge makes selecting outfits that energize my day no matter the weather a breeze.

My winter wardrobe consists of neutral tones, pops of colour, and colour-blocking. More colour in general but spring and fall give pattern, texture and flow.

Geometric patterns and colour hues mark my spring-fit with lace, and delicate knits. Summer mirrors winter’s sentiment but bright saturated pops of colour drape over neutral tones in linen and silk fabrications. My spring and summer garments overlap nicely and eventually become causal house-wear in the end.

Fall patterns are floral or chincy and the colour pallet darkens. Heavier materials and texture like velvet, thicker knits, and denim hint at the season to come. I fly south for winter and enjoy a more relaxed bohemian beach vibe. Building outfits around beach and surf-wear. My outfits repeat and transition between seasons in curious and experimental ways.
